NYMPHOMATIC
NYMPHOMATIC is a piece of New-Media art, first sketched onto my back with a wooden fetish pen made out of an aged whiskey barrel, then traced and recreated in an homage to KOSMOS-482
A soviet probe was sent to study Venus, Earth’s twin, named after the Roman god of love & sex. Instead of reaching Venus, KOSMOS had an Icarus-esque fling with the Earth’s lower orbit for the last 53 years before crashing back to the surface in an undisclosed location earlier this month. The probe itself spent the last half century lusting for something it thought it was destined to explore, but instead came back to the surface of a planet that loved it. Nymphonia, lust and debauchery are thrilling, they are driving cogs behind the wheels of life - but conversely are also the Hamartia of Love; the epoch of human connection.
As a teenager, I had intended to be the next Hugh Hefner, but instead found myself entangled in a romance from sixteen that’s kept with me to this day. Earlier this year, that romance was challenged, more so than ever before, we opened our relationship and hurt each other in ways we couldn’t imagine. Despite that, we’re stronger than ever, and both remain sexual deviants engaging in prolific premarital - but we’re not chasing Venus.
